We began our adventure with Colombia Eco Travel during a three-month honeymoon trip to Colombia in December 2010. During and after the trip we were so excited about Colombia and its natural wonders and people that we wanted to share it with the world!
So here we are!
We relocated from Portland, Oregon, USA to the heart of the coffee region – Pereira, Colombia to better serve you!
We focus on ecotourism, providing you with exciting off the beaten path tours and destinations! We aren’t big into tourist traps or crowded theme parks – we prefer to commune with nature, spend time with and learn about cultural treasures from local natives, and search for the hidden gems of Colombia – of which there are many! Most of our providers are Colombian natives – we strive to support local economies! Our goal is to promote wellness of mind, body and spirit in Colombia and the world – one unique travel experience at a time!
We love what we do, and it shows!
We can’t wait for you to experience the very best of Colombia!
Eliesha and Daniel
We offer only experiences and destinations that we have experienced personally. We offer only the travel services and products that we find worth the while so that you know what to expect, and won’t have any unwanted surprises or let downs during your travels.
We work with our providers to support them in sustainable practices such as water and energy conservation, using bio diesel rather than petroleum, organic farming, green building, and promotion of personal and communal health and wellness.
In furtherance of the provisions of Article 17 of Law 679 of 2001, Colombia Eco Travel warns tourists that the exploitation and sexual abuse of minors in Colombia is punished criminally and administratively, under the law.
