Hotel Casa Deco Overview
If you are going to Bogota, Colombia, you may want to stay in La Candelaria, the first established neighborhood in Bogota. Beautiful, safe and bohemian, La Candelaria offers delicious and varied restaurants, nearby bike tours and lovely walks through historical streets. Nestled in La Candelaria, you’ll find our recommended boutique eco hotel.
At Casa Deco Boutique Eco Hotel, each room is decorated with a different color and beautiful artwork by Gustav Klimt, giving each room a unique feel. The “purple room” is basic and beautiful. The “red suite” upstairs is incredible, with a view of the famous Santuario de Monserrate on top of the hill. The beds are soothingly comfortable and the showers are deliciously hot.
Breakfast is lovely. You will have your choice of coffee, tea made from the leaf of the coca plant (to aid with elevation sickness or headache) and hot chocolate. Then there is the juice. Made freshly every day from local tropical fruits, they will bring it to you “sin azucar” – without sugar – so you may sweeten your liking. And then, like magic, your waitress will appear with warm croissants and fresh fruit. You will have your choice of scrambled eggs or an omelet. To complete it, choose from a variety of fixings such as ham, tomato, cheese, and onions. Enjoy.
Take in the view and the afternoon sun on the rooftop terrace as you sip a glass of wine or a local brew – for purchase at the hotel.
